Mary Margaret's trial approaches as Emma continues to search for evidence that will implicate Regina. A young Queen Regina saves Snow White from a galloping horse. Regina, desiring to marry the stable boy Daniel, tries to defy her mother Cora in the name of true love. Cora murders Daniel after manipulating Snow White into betraying Regina's confidence, resulting in Regina's marriage to King Leopold and causing her hatred of Snow White. In Storybrooke, Ruby discovers a bedraggled but alive Kathryn in the alley behind the diner.
